Seventeen and Pregnant
Novalee is pregnant and she is a teen mother to be. She finds herself stranded in Wal-Mart because her boyrfriend Willy Jack Pickens has left her with no money in her pockets. She has bad luck with sevens.She is scared for her life and doesn't know what to expect having a baby when she is a child herself,. I can relate to this through expeirnce because I am teen mother. I am scared and nervous at times because I don't know much on taking care of a kid because I'm a kid myself. What confuses me in this book is that why would he leave her just like that a store why not just tell her he doesn't want to be part of anything in her life nor the baby's? "but sometimes, she thought, you just can't see a thing coming at you" That was a quote from the book and it's true sometimes you just got to go with the curve balls that life throws at you, i think atleast. Hopefully later on the book my questions will be answered.

This seems like an intresting book, it was a good choice for you. I can imagine that you can actually connect to this in real life.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a good book for you to show you that you are lucky and have family to support you cause some teen moms don't have anything and it's really hard.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my sisters were teen moms, they got lucky enough to have loving responsible fathers. i doubted them at times but they got their shit together. Having little nieces is awesome. I always mess with them. This book sounds cool because it talks about her life as a teen mother. Maybe you can learn something off of this.
ReplyDeletedamn that's crazy! I have to agree with you Priscilla why not just be straight up and tell her he doesn't want to be part of her life or the babies why does he have to leave like a coward?
ReplyDeleteThis book seems really interesting. I don't understand why some dads bail out on girls like that when it took two to make a baby. Does the girls family support her?
